This trailer is an ancient--older than me even--model. The old water heater (pictured) was too big and looked to be a used one. I replaced it with a 30 gallon, which barely fit.
The after pictures didn't get taken, but it looks good.

Water heater in tight space
This electric water....
We had to remove the door frame to remove it and install the new one. Luckily, we had an old style electric (thinner) available. Otherwise, we may have had to remodel the closet to fit the new water heater in the space.

Shut-off in Lake Samish
Had a electric water heater replacement in the Lake Samish (Bellingham, Whatcom County) neighborhood. The old water heater was 26 years old, as was the piping, so your first response would be that the owner is one lucky fella, right?
Well, Lake Samish is very special (and they know it) because most homes get their water directly from the lake. I mean, pulled directly from a recreational lake into their homes. The water pumps have regular whole house filters at a minimum and some homes have very sophisticated water purification systems.
Long story short, the picture shows his water heater shut-off on the right and a new one on the left. His pump brings in 90 p.s.i, so that crud in his valve is hard as stone.
